Frederick George Pierce, born 07.04 1867, Poona, Bombay, India, Lieutenant Corporal, 79th Carnatic Infantry (Indian Staff Corps) who was mentioned on two separate occasions in 1899 and and in 1907 being promoted to Captain and Lieutenant-Colonel as reported in the London Gazette. Recorded in the 1921 Census of England as a Retired Military Officer. Frederick married Ethel Annie Tomlinson (B. 1874, India, Ref 1921 UK Census), daughter of William Henry Tomlinson, in Vizianagram, Madras, India on the 16. 11.1892. At the time of his marriage, Frederick George was a lieutenant with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. On the same day, Ethel's sister, Effie Winifred (B.1873), married John Jackson, Captain, Indian Staff Corps and son of George Maver Jackson.

He married Anne Jane Wise/Wyse, youngest daughter of John Wyse, Maidstone, Kent, on the 12 February 1850, Devon (Ref: North Devon Journal, 1850). Charles died about 1861 - ref British India Office Pension records. Anne returned to England and as per 1871 census for England and Wales, lived in Torquay, Devon. Children of Charles and Anne:
