The Settlement of half the effects was fortunate with the Brews. It occurs in the marriage settlements of Chartres Brew, filing 1782, and of his double first cousin, Richard Brew, 27 May 1786.

John is currently listed under the Kilrush/Clare branch, with no known origin, however is likely related to Robert Heaphy (Teacher and ancestor of the Ballynacally family of school teachers) & John Heaphy (School Principal & Lecturer at Kilrush Science Institute), of Kilrush. Mary had died before 1840, as John Heaphy, married Margaret Cartney (1817 - 1851) in 1840, Kilrush COI. The couple had a family with Margaret dying in 1851, buried in Kilrush COI, cemetery.
